about me

“Teaching is the best way of  truly understanding any subject”

I have always believed teaching is the best way of truly understanding a subject. I am, therefore very happy to share my craft with my students, and thus making sure that I never stop learning myself.

Originally trained in the Estill Voice System I soon found some limitations and discrepancies in what that enabled me to do and understand. That led me to investigate into other approaches to vocal training and health. Currently, my method is a more holistic, relying on a whole body approach, and one that uses the voice as a tool for expression and communication and not just beautiful sound production.

“By focusing on the communicative act happening

in any song the voice finds the healthiest way

to accommodate to the task required”

By having a vocal system that’s trained properly and without tensions, singers can find freedom to express what they want to convey during the act of singing. That, in turn, enables a much more powerful act of communication, which should be the underlying objective of any singing. My lessons are structured as vocal workouts, that will work on breath, tone, muscular capacity, fold elasticity and resonance. By dedicating time at the end of the lesson to work on a song we can find how these new tools can be applied in the context of singing a musical piece.

Let’s explore together what you and your voice are capable of doing!

“Your voice is as unique as you are, and deserves to be heard”

What can I help you with?

I have formal training in both classical and contemporary singing, and I am not afraid to draw from both methodologies to plan lessons that cater to your specific needs:

  • Audition preparation: If you have an important audition coming up we can have a discussion in choosing the right repertoire that is able to encapsulate what you want to convey about yourself.

  • Vocal health: The way we use our voice even for speaking can tire your vocal system. By doing a bit of a vocal workout we can find ways of boosting your vocal stamina and find a way of using your voice for public speaking that doesn't feel taxing for you.

  • Casual singing: Singing should be about enjoying the act of communication and using your whole body to tell a story. Let us find the way for you to get started, or how to improve parts of your singing voice that don't respond the way you would like.
